I just updated the forum with the Tagger plugin which permits to add tags in addition to the main category. Therefore we simplified the categories list by removing some sub-categories.
The current list of tag is available here and you can add them easily when writing or editing a topic:
The list cannot be extended by low-level user so if you need other tags do not hesitate to ask it here.
